The Power Miners are the men that brave the molten core of the Earth in search of elusive crystals. However, what they did not expect was the Lava Monsters that were hiding in the molten magma that they dared to explore. Lava Showdown is a scrolling game where you take the role of a Power Miner and try to open hatches  by capturing Rock Monsters to proceed to the next level. In between levels though, there is the Lava Rock Monster that you will need to pass through using a Frogger-style of game play. After which, you will be able to proceed to the next stage, which will have even more faster set of Rock Monsters to catch.

Unfortunately, Lava Showdown does feature the cool and quirky Lava excavation equipment that the Power Miners sets are known for, but if you get tired of playing with your Power Miner equipment or if you are waiting for your first set to arrive, then this game is just right to satiate your thirst for Power Miner action.
